that's very good to know! but do you know if there is a way to recognize the signal before downloading it? (similarly to how you can recognize the 'virus' signal, the one that looks like a floating PC by looking at it before downloading it)

i see. does the red skull show up on screen even if the signal is on level 0, or do you need to presess it a couple of times to identify it?

Hi! I'm fairly new to the game, and i heard that it's a game-ending signal that you can just randomly get while playing. 

For some reason i can't seem to find much useful information about this signal elsewhere, other than that it's world ending and should be avoided.

Could somebody please tell me more about this signal? I want to know how i can recognize it before i download it (if it's possible), and what i should do if i suddenly see that red skull on my screen to prevent the world from ending.

Please, I've put a lot of hours into this save, and i really don't want to start from scratch because of it.

I'm on day 10, i've awakened in the middle of the night with this message popping up in the bottom right corner about 3 times now. 

I know it's supposed to be an event or an entity walking around nearby, but it's nowhere to be seen! And maybe the worst part - i can't go to sleep either until 6-7 in the morning!

Every single time this happened, i've taken a trip around the whole base (inside and outside, checking all the rooms) with my crowbar in hand, and found absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.  Only thing of note was a splash in the river one time, but i couldn't find the source of what made it.

Am i doing something wrong? Is there a place or room i'm not checking / should be checking first? Is my game bugged? Is my crowbar scaring the monsters away?

Same here, mine won't even open. Everytime i try to open it, a window flashes for a split second before vanishing without a trace, even task manager can't seem to find it.  Coincidentally, that started happening only after the game was moved to 7zip
